Casts of rock surfaces taken from rock formations along the north Antrim coast where I live, provide the solid structure that supports the small buildings on the surface. The fissures and lines of the rocks in Island are transformed into massive headlands through the juxtaposition of opposing scales. The rock castings play with an aerial perspective that is combined with a traditional linear perspective to create landscape sculptures that explore a sense of place.
